  • head, you will have several mounting options to consider. The flexible hose or the tube of the shower head you can attach either by clipping it to a wall-mounted hanger, bar or swivel. The flexible hose usually screws onto the shower arm and then can be moved up and down. Handheld shower heads are usually chosen for shower-bathtub combinations. Their benefit is that you can direct the water spray in any direction. Most of them come with massaging features, providing relief for aching shoulders and back. The handheld type is also really handy for washing kids and pets as you can easily direct the spray in any direction you need.

This gooseneck faucet and hand sprayer combines function and beauty with its stylish design and useful hand shower. The included swing arm couplers allow for use on tubs with 7" wall drillings. Ships in 1 - 2 Business Days

  • Faucet install went OK, looks very nice and stands sturdy (I was a little afraid it wouldn't be stable with just the floor mount but it seems fine). But after a couple dozen uses, the diverter valve stopped working well. Kept getting a dribble of water out of the hand shower which goes on the floor (no way to get the hand shower adjusted to drip over the tub) so it had to be fixed. Turns out the fix is to take apart the diverter; you do that by pulling up the small round handle (into hand shower position) and that exposes some wrench flats that allows it to be disassembled. There is an o-ring (it's tight to pull out the diverter assembly because of this O ring) that I cleaned, and lubricated with a plumbers O-ring Teflon lub. Put it back it and worked terrible, pulled it out again and saw the o-ring had moved out of it's groove when I re-assembled it. Put it back together more carefully (tricky getting the O ring in, used a screw driver to keep it from popping out of it's groove) and now the faucet appears to work fine. Wished it would have worked from the start. Also, the stream for the hand shower seems more weak than I would expect.

If you are installing a handheld showerhead, after removing the old one and cleaning the pipe, you will need to insert the gaskets into the hose. Next, get the shower head mount and screw it onto the supply pipe threads. The included with the handheld shower head hose screw onto the mount and onto the shower head. Tighten the connections. Place the shower head onto its mount and it’s ready to use.

If you would like to remove the restrictor, you will need to remove the shower head. If you are using a fixed shower head, you will have to remove it from its shower arm. If it is a handheld shower head, you will need to remove it from its shower hose. In most cases to complete this step, you will need a pipe wrench or lock pliers. To protect the shower head’s finish, you can also use a rag.
